home networking using sify broadband

Hi

I was wondering if there is any way to setup up home networking using sify broadband. The issue is with the stupid software they use to make user login. If I place the router between computer and sify cable, will their software still work ? And will router work as expected ?
I tried calling sify, but their stupid CSR's don't have a clue and they keep repeating 'contact hardware mfr.' even though I specifically asked about their software.
I will appriciate if you can either share some tip or point me to right direction
Thanks
Mukesh

Yes you can setup a home network.
All you need is a router which supports NAT. Just configure the registered IP adddress on the Router and run the Sify Broadband Client from the system with the registered MAC address. After connecting it, you can even shut down this system. The connection will be alive for the rest of the computers on the network.

We successfully did this using a WiFi Router from D-Link.
