I am also fed up with Sify

I am also fed up with Sify. Their customer care is customer torture. In order to renew i need to call the people up 100 times. Then after giving money..afdter 100 phone calls they renew…. i am fed up.. but i am prey to this Sify becoz this is the only broadband available in my place. I stay in perungudi..slightly on the outskirts of Chennai city.

The local operator is creating problem for me

The local operator is creating problem for me.. he was saying recetnly that they had to pay 1.5 lac to sify for server restoration becoz of lightening strike. And for that why shud i pay compensation?? I refused to pay for this month…
It sounds so ill-logical.. suppose my computer gets burned up due to the sify lines during a thunderstorm.. can i claim compensation from the operator/Sify??
I really want to put a consumer litigation againt SIFY

having taken a Sify connection.

My God! I can’t believe there r sooo many ppl like me here! I am from Chennai and I live in a suburb. Took Sify Broadband connection last year and ever since ended up spending half of my phone bill calling up Sify Customer Care (who couldn’t care less!) and complaining about all kinds of errors.. 108, 101 and dunno wat and all crap!!
Their servic eis very poor.. two days back I got a call from them and they are sevreing the connection, cos the local cable operator who was helping them is now no longer with them!! they have a very poor system, which cannot sustain… I regret having taken a Sify connection.

nt getting satisfactory results from SIFY broanBand

nt getting satisfactory results from SIFY broanBand, iam using 256kbps unlimited download package. but it seem that that Sify has lost there credibility because from more than 10time i have conplained to the customer care but nothing came out of that as iam getting just 40kbps speed. NOW WHAT SHOULD i DO

Customer care of sify is usless

Customer care of sify is usless to solve a simple issue they need 48 working hrs i cant understand then, whats the meaning of 24*7 support

I am a foreign student in Pune

I am a foreign student in Pune,India.Please forgive that to say this but in your country some guys cheated millions and millions of people and nobody’s care what they are doing to them.like roads in pune.Actually i don’t call them roads.it’s mostly like a village than a sity.there are a lot of dangerous pot-holls in the roads and nobody’s not complainin and just drive in this hell.anyway….and about the sify.these guys are best in cheating people.I am a SIFY user for 1.5 years.In this period i had a lot of problem whit this shit till now i’m really fed-up.once they have disconnected my internet,when i called them they’ve told me that you have downloaded 1.5GB in one day.i was shocked.i explain them that with this fucking speed it’s not possible to download that much in 12 hours but they just said we don’t know,that you are telling is technical and our engineer is not here now.just like that.Now,for 10 days i have problem with my connection and nobody’s care.10 days.i’ve called everywhere see many people and the problem is still continue.this is the last straw.If you know any good ISP please share with me then maybe i can use internet without any problem though i doubt it very much.thanks

I am in Chennai and our home has Sify broadband

I am in Chennai and our home has Sify broadband (of course the 128 Kbps unlimited crap) for about 2 years and we never had any complaints. You know why??? Because my mom and dad don’t know how to use internet and my brother is too busy to use it. I was in the United States and obviously can’t use it. Now I am back home and I got the worst experience ever in browsing internet. Everytime I open the SIFY broadband client software, I get a dialog that says ‘Remote upgrade in progress. please wait…’ and then it dies. I get a troubleshooting in progress dialog and the message says that there are connectivity issues. No one including the customer care people in SIFY knows where the hell this connectivity issue exists. This had been going for 2 months now and in the past 2 months, I was able to get connected only a handful of times. There is no use in calling customer service since all they can say is “We are working on the issue and trying to find the root cause”. Miraculously the problem fixes itself and I get connected once in a while. What a waste of time and money… If I try to open the client software 10 times, I may be able to connect once. I am writing this with sheer frustration. If you are a current broadband customer, my condolences for you. If you are planning to get one, PLEASE DON’T!!! I am thinking of switching to a different service provider like Airtel or BSNL myself. Thanks for your time.
