Sify in hell

If I could, I would put the founders and management of Sify in hell and enjoy watching them get fried slowly. These bums are nothing less than criminals. I’m using their service (well?) for a year because I don’t have a choice in Banashankari, Bangalore. Not only have I never been able to connect but I’ve spent twice my monthly bills on phones to their customer care. I’ve switched to Airtel data card now but I still need broadband to support my VoIP phones.

i was having sifibroadband connextion for the last 2-3 years and the package has expired 2-3 days before. Shall I request for the authorities to send somebody to my place with the available packages so that I can either take new package or renew the existing one.

Sify sucks

i am Chennai Based.
Sify sucks.Customer care sucks more.
and the BB101 error message sucks at its best.
U know guys ,the sify custoemr care “executives” are mostly 12th passouts– degree fails and have no knowledge about internet… So dont ever call them .It makes no sense calling those a******s.
Thats what I feel.

I am the MOST frustrated customer of Sify

I am the MOST frustrated customer of Sify. here goes my experience
On Mar 27, i paid 2500/- as installation charges to the local operator requesting him for broadband connection. On the day i paid him the amount he told me that he would give connection within one day. After that for 2 weeks, he said that he could not give his time as it was world cup time(he is also the cable TV operator for this area) and he delayed 1 more week saying that he need to buy a connecting switch and he would need some time. With all these reasons he took 20 days to just connect me to internet. And only on the day they gave connection, i could access internet. From the next day onwards im facing some or the other problem(i don’t even get connected to the LAN). I have logged several cases with sify customer care. But nothing was solved. Everyday i give atleast two calls to my local operator. For a couple of weeks he used to throw the blame on my computer saying that there’s some problem with my computer, my drivers are corrupted etc. I checked the connection using a couple of my friends laptops. But still i couldn’t get connected with those laptops. I told him the same and he said that he would change the cables but he never did that. When i log cases with customer care they again pass that case to my local operator or the technical support guy for this area(who seems to be a close friend of my local operator). I seriously didn’t have any options left , finally I got fed up with his service and went to his office on 4th may(please note that i had waited for ~40 days by that time) and tried to threaten him saying that i would go for police if this case is left unresolved. I received a very vulgur treatment for this, his friends used all the foul language and even tried to hurt me when i said that i would go for police.
I seriously donno what to do… any advices other than good bye to sify???

I too am a frustrated sify customer in bangalore…
The customer siervice is F***ing…
I got a contact from the sify office,

I did’t get my net for 7 days from Apr 28 to May 4…
There was no one to respond to the call…
Every executive would say a different answer…
Finally I called up the above guy n I did get realistic answers after that…
Regarding connectivity:
I took a 128 KBPS (Dedicated: Thats what they said)conncetion…
But i get 10-14 KBPS…
Those ass holes dont have a toll free number that works…
At customer care they say its operational, but when i asked the head CS, he said that its not yet operational…
The employees dont know what is their company doing…
This is freaking nuts…
I call them up, I can hear laughing and gigling in the fucking office, yet no one is picking the phone; then some one puts a recorded message saying that they’ll call me back in 1 hour, and nobody calls…
They dont even have the courtesy to inform you once the complaint is attended…
I really wanna exit this screwed up fucking deal; but they dont give refund…
They just want to make money, why not better go n steal…

As far as the non disclosure of complete information, here’s one that I got today. I subscribed to the ‘Unlimited 256 Kbps’ option. The download speeds I’ve been getting for some time now is a ridiculous 7 to 10 KBps.This when I’m using a download accelerator !.
I filed a complaint with Customer care yesterday evening. I was told the problem would be solved by morning. Not surprisingly, nothing happened. Fed up, I finally called the local cable people and protested.
This is what they said “the 256 KBps unlimited does not guarantee the said speed. If you want speed buy a different package.” When I questioned them as to why this is not mentioned with the details of the 256 KBps Unlimited package, pat came the reply:
“You ask sify about this. This is what we have been telling everybody. We are not responsible for this”

My experience with Sify has been HORRIBLE

Hi ,
My experience with Sify has been HORRIBLE. I have taken the Sify connection on 28 April and by 5 May the connection has gone down at least 12 times. Everyday after 9:30 pm the connection goes down and u r forced to wait till the next day to find out if the guy is going to fix it up for u.
When u call their customer care they say 10 - 12 hours. Now so for 5 days for 10 -12 hours means they were working on the problem for 50 hours and still could not find out the problem. These ppl might just pack their bags and get out of business. They are CHEATERS and THUGS in the guise of providing services.
I just want to file a suit against these guise so that the court directs them not to cheat its clients so much. Remember the time when by court direction the incoming calls were made free on mobiles and also roaming charges were slashed. Without a stick these ppl will never work.
